Occupational Therapy

Cassondra Starc

Cassi is an Occupational Therapist and Mindfulness Teacher. She aims to educate and empower her clients, so they can take an active role, whether it is in their movement practice or in their recovery. Cassi completed her Masters of Occupational Therapy degree in 2017, and she has received additional training in the following specialty areas: sleep, anxiety, depression, PTSD, and concussion. She lives with some chronic conditions herself, and brings that experiential understanding to her practice. Cassi also teaches yoga, meditation, and mindful self-compassion in groups and in private sessions. Cassi moved to Victoria hoping to explore the great outdoor playground the Island has to offer. So outside of the clinic, you might find Cassi hiking, swimming, or trying to grow something edible in her garden!

Stephanie Allibone

Stephanie is an occupational therapist who completed her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy at the University of Toronto in 2012. She works with adults facing mental health, cognitive, or physical barriers to their participation in daily activities that are meaningful, enjoyable, and productive. Stephanie’s practice supports varying diagnoses including anxiety, depression, trauma-related (e.g. PTSD), chronic pain, head injuries such as concussion, and orthopedic injury recovery.

At heart, she is a problem solver who believes there's always a path forward. Whether we need solution A or have to get creative and invent solution Z—there’s always a way. The key is finding the approach that aligns with your unique goals, values, and abilities. This is why I love the individualized nature of OT. Every strategy is tailored, every goal is personal, and every success story is uniquely yours.

This is why she loves the individualized nature of OT. No two treatment plans look the same because no two people are the same. Every strategy is tailored, every goal is personal, and every success story is uniquely yours.

When not working with clients, you'll find Stephanie exploring all the amazing places Vancouver Island has to offer—hiking trails, swimming in beautiful waters, or biking through scenic routes.

The outdoors fuels her sense of well-being and reminds her daily of the importance of engaging in activities that bring joy and meaning to our lives.
