Move with them:

If I am not teaching at local community centers, I am learning deep concepts of movement skills or practicing them someplace next to the water. I will always be found on the back parking deck of the ferry doing my big, dynamic stretches to music watching the enormous view.

Tunes to move to:

I generally don't listen to music when I am not thinking about work. I like to listen to current topics on talk radio. But if you are in class, the genres are varied so that your brain is stimulated with the change in music style.

Words to live by:

"Why not?" and "The body doesn't need a story layered into it"

I move because:

I move because it is a part of how our brain develops. Move well so you can solve problems well. Move like you want your world to be - smaller/broader, responsibly/haphazardly, curious/defined. Move to express yourself. I was born a teacher but have worked at developing my skills in order to pass on a deeper understanding of how our bodies develop patterns that control us sometimes, not vice versa.
